The General Federation of Women’s Clubs is an international women’s organization dedicated to
community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service.

Our club meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at the homes of the members.  Time is set for 7:30 p.m.  At the request of members, we meet during Feb., Mar., Apr., May, June, Aug., Sept., Oct., Nov., and Dec.

The club was formed in November, 1925 and was known as the Household Science club.  It was started to give women a time to study domestic issues and to enjoy a social time.  The organization then helped to promote community projects.

The rose and the colors of pink and white were chosen as a symbol.

Committees:

When projects are decided upon, volunteers are accepted to tak on the responsibility.

 

Annual Projects:

Easter Egg Hunt:  children age 0-10

Halloween Treats:  ghosts & goblins

Fruit Baskets:  shut ins

Fruit & Cookie Distribution to Local Nursing Home Residents

The only requirement to join our club is a desire to help the community and also to have a little fun.
